Daily To-Do List: Simpler Layout and More Tasks
I switched to Wrike (Professional) a few months ago from Asana's free version. One thing I found very useful was Asana's daily to-do list email. It included ALL of my upcoming task deadlines, and showed them as a single, sorted list. I just turned off the daily to-do emails in Wrike because I realized I never actually check them.
Feedback:
- Format the daily list in a single column. It's much easier to review at a glance than the current two-column format.
- Expand the list so it shows more than just six tasks. What good is reviewing a partial list of the things you need to do?
- Sort the list by due date, so you immediately see the tasks that are due soon.
Oh, and I do realize the "Business" subscription has more customizable reporting features.
I second the idea of a single column for the daily todo email. The double column layout is especially challenging when reading on mobile. It causes the text to display too small. The idea behind a todo list is that you glance at it and go about your day. For a notification, this layout has too much noise. For instance:
All of that space has to be ignored before you read your first task. I think this email could be way more useful if it were approached as a notification. You don't have to go totally minimalistic, just slim it down.
