The problem i have is that if you don't remember to assign a time frame to a task, the workload feature doesn't work very well. Having a hard time getting the team to do that. Any tips would be greatly appreciated :D
Not every project is the same which makes estimating challenging. A large amount of requests we get from clients are hollow and half baked, requiring our PM team to develope scope and timeframe. Assuming this is the same for you and your team, I would suggest auditing your projects from the last 30/60 days. This will give you an idea of time put against projects and a benchmark to put against similar projects moving forward.
@Ryan, funny you should mention that. I went back 30 days and reviewed the Time Tracking, then went ahead 30 days and changed the default 1d assigned to a task to the appropriate time. Going in and telling Wrike that the main task with many subtasks does NOT take up 8 hours a day for 2 weeks helped as well. One issue i have though, is that we have pretty much 2.0 hours a day for Daily Activities (ie. Email checking, responding, phone calls, interruptions, etc.) and as it is a Daily for every day of the week, the task starts Mon and ends Fri. I think i allotted the time correctly, by telling Wrike that 25% of that task is to be allotted. :D Thank you for your help!
Great tip Ryan, thanks for sharing 🙌
@Marjorie - it would be great to hear any other tips you have as part of this competition to win some cool Wrike swag 😊
@Stephen! Thank you, I was not aware of this, posted 2 Tips. :D
