Would like to Print PDFs directly from the Wrike Desktop App
Some of my coworkers want to be able to print PDFs directly from the desktop app. Right now, Wrike users can view PDFs from the built-in viewer but can't print them. Having to download then print the PDFs impacts their productivity and efficiency. So in summary, my coworkers would like to view and print PDFs all in one place, i.e. directly from the Wrike desktop app.
Improvement in PDF viewer functionality would be great too. Now the instinct people have is to use the <> to move through a single document, instead it rotates you through multiple documents. Also when we work together on something in a room with a large screen, the teeny little right scroll control is hard to see and hard to operate and the pages take forever to load so if we are reviewing text of a 60 page document, the person sharing their screen has to scroll load scroll load scroll load...while we watch.
We end up going to the server and finding the document (saved for legal purposes there) and looking at it together. It's a time waster when we are intending to collaborate, to have to download the doc to our own computers to run it efficiently.
Viewing PDF in a regular browser works fine, not sure why the functionality is so limited in the Wrike viewer.
Thank you!
Are there any updates with this feature request? It seems a bit archaic that this is not an option.
Also the ability to copy and paste from PDFs, text or Word files.
Hey everyone, thanks a lot for your feedback!
I've checked with the Product team, and they are wondering whether you could share a little more detail here - like why you need to print things out and how often that happens? This would help them to understand the use-cases here better. Thank you!

Hi we collaborate on proposals that have lengthy contracts, detailed proposal instructions, drawings, plans, specs, and other things people over 40 like to print out and keep in binders to mark-up and reference.
Also, when we do meet together and one person puts the Wrike project up on the screen, the navigation to even view a pdf document is a challenge, leading us to have to download it so we can use the Adobe version of the controls. Switching between documents, also a hassle. And if we mark on any of them, we have to remember to upload it back again. It's a weak point in our process, and there is the potential to loose information and action items. We work around it. It just seemed like something that could be smoothed out.
Generally document handling - creating a library of static documents that can be looked at but don't need to be embedded in specific activities, that can be printed easily without download, and referenced with links within activities, possibly even marked-up and comments shared in a singular version. That would be helpful for my team.
Thank you!
Lisa

To print documents and invoices. This happens several times a day as our office is not completely paperless.
Thank you, Annamarie Sika-Rockson!
Everyone, our team are researching this suggestion - I'll drop in here again when I have more details 🙂
