[Status: Backburner ⏳] Moving Timelog to Another Task
It's common for us to need to move a time log entry from one task to another (typically within the same project). Right now, we have to delete the time entry, and then create a brand new one in the appropriate task. Would be extremely helpful if we could more easily just move the location from one task to another.
Yes same with us, but I want to be able to move it to tasks in other projects as well.
This would be amazing if we could do it
Essential functionality that a lot of other PM tools have as standard!
This adds unnecessary time if tasks change or time needs to be shifted during a project. +1 feature request.
Moving timelog entries to other project would be very helpful!
We are just now expanding the use case for wrike and incorporating time tracking. During initial testing put in several time entries against tasks but found a better workflow. Unfortunately without being able to move the existing entries to the appropriate tasks I have no choice but to delete and re-enter. Need to add the ability to move time to the appropriate task ASAP.
Hi everyone, apologies for the delay in response here.
There are currently no plans to add this suggestion to the short-term roadmap. If anything changes, I'll be sure to let you know.
What are we supposed to do in the event that there is a duplicate project that needs to be deleted but there are already a handful of time logs against it
Hi Anil Maharjan,
In this use case, I would recommend tagging the tasks with timelogs attached into the desired project, and then deleting the duplicate once these tasks have been brought in. The tracked time is attached to the task, so you can move these into the correct project and they will appear in the relevant Timelog view.
Let me know if this helped! If you need anything else, feel free to reach out at any time.
Totes - very limited features on time entries in Wrike.
Ian Bennett You know it's a neglected feature because Timelog is considered a 'Classic' view.
Came here to add to this suggestion.
I recently needed to move all Timelog entries from one Task to another. I ended up going the manual route of entering the time on the new Task as Support suggested. Problem was, the Timelog included 3 users and went back to August 2022, so it took me over two hours to manually complete. Would be nice to have a copy feature to save time if this were to come up again.
Hi folks! I've just checked with our Product team that owns time tracking - they don't have immediate plans for this idea but they'll keep it in mind this year when they may be able to add it to their plans. We'll keep you posted 👍

Lisa Is there a roadmap for improvements to time tracking? This is only one of a few improvements that our team would appreciate. Some other improvements include minimum time values, mandatory comments, and categories restricted by the project/task or user/role.
I second the minimum time values and mandatory comments. Our team just agreed to both moving forward and it would be nice to restrict.
Hi David Simmington, thank you for your feedback and for sharing your use case with us, I've passed your comment on to our relevant team 👍
We also have a significant need for this feature. We have large projects with changing tasks and need to be able to move hours around. Having to delete and re-enter is too time consuming for our teams.
Appreciate your support for this feature Kari Schoen, thanks for sharing you feedback! And welcome to the Community 🙂

I'd also like to share that two features specifically would be helpful to our team:
Time entries must be in the correct project and task for our reporting to be accurate. Thank you for providing a good forum for these questions and requests.
