Progress Calculation: Limit by Item Type

It would be a game changer for us to be able to choose which custom item type(s) to count towards progress for a project.

Context: our Work Breakdown Structure generally follows this format:
Project / Workstream / Key Deliverable / subtasks (as deep as needed)

Key Deliverables and Subtasks are both task item types.

The number of subtasks can vary greatly for any given Key Deliverable.

But progress for us is almost always determined by % completion of Key Deliverables. I don't currently use the Progress field, but I would on every project if I could tell Wrike to calculate progress based on Key Deliverable task data.

Supporting this idea! Custom item types allow us to differentiate the doing from formal documents being checked, gates being approved, etc.

Thanks for the suggestion, Whitney Norton. Having granular control over how project progress is calculated - especially in complex Work Breakdown Structures like yours - totally makes sense. I am sharing this with our team. 😊👍🏽
