hyperlink being removed automatically after paste into description

We are experiencing an intermittent behaviour when pasting sharepoint hyperlinks into the description field.

After pasting, a properly formatted hyperlink appears and then immediately the hyperlink url is removed and only the text of the pasted file or folder is displayed. 

Users who have see this behaviour range from the 'owner' to 'editor'. Also some users do not experience this. They also range from 'admin' to 'editor'.

The chrome browser has been updated, cache cleared. These are Windows computers.

The copied links have 'https://' prefixes per the defaults in wrike.

Any help would be appreciated.
