Cross-Level Automation

I would love to be able to use automations to affect data from one type of level of work to another. For example, if the parent project has a custom field option selected, I would like to for the tasks/projects underneath that parent to inherent that option using an automation. Additionally, if an option is chosen for a project, I would like to be able to affect a related or non-related task; and vice versa.

For example:

We track work, both tasks and projects, by particular business areas. The project form captures these areas for the created project. I would like an automation that grabs that business area and brings it down to the created tasks (from the blueprint). We have dozens of business areas, and even more possible project types, and so making and managing individual blueprints is not sustainable.

There are small versions of this, where status can change with subitems or predecessors are completed. I yearn for more flexibility.
