Folllowing List for Post: Wrike-Up Wednesday: My First Job Flashback! ๐
[this list is visible for admins and agents only]
I worked in a Cafe, doing a bit of everything from serving customers to flipping burgers.
My first job was in junior high, my mother worked at a convention and visitors bureau so she got me a summer job there. The very first task I was assigned was test the "moo cow" cans: a can with holes in a circle that when you flipped it over was supposed to moo. I then had to tie a little advertising thing to it and put it in a box.ย
Letโs rewind to where it all began at Shopko as a retail associate!
I was a sophomore in high school and quickly learned that folding clothes perfectly is an art form. From helping customers find the right size to organizing endcap displays and navigating Black Friday chaos, I picked up skills I still use today like patience, multitasking, and how to stay calm when the barcode scanner just wouldn't work!ย
It wasnโt glamorous, but it was real work and Iโm grateful for every awkward moment that become a learning lesson.ย
