Advanced Job Role Assignment Logic to Request Forms

I’d like to add our support to the idea of enhancing request forms by integrating job role-based assignment logic, as mentioned in this recent post.

Our use case would benefit greatly from the ability to dynamically filter and auto-assign users based on job roles, tied to conditions within the form. For example, we frequently assign tasks to a “Channel Manager” job role—but the actual assignee depends on the specific client and brand selected. Out of 12 potential Channel Managers, often only one supports a particular client-brand combination.

Being able to configure conditional logic like:

  • If Client = X and Brand = Y, then only Channel Manager Z is assignable

…would be a game-changer. It would reduce friction during project intake, eliminate unnecessary reassignment delays, and increase accuracy.

While automations can accomplish something similar, maintaining them is burdensome due to team changes and shifting responsibilities across accounts. A request form-level solution would be far simpler and scalable long term.

We’re heavy users of job roles in our blueprints and workflows, and having this enhancement would bring our use of Wrike to the next level.

Thanks for considering—and happy to provide further use cases if helpful!

This would be amazing and it's one of the reasons we switched to Wrike because we thought we could use logic like this. Instead we had to sign up for Wrike Integrate.

We have automations set that will look at a database to see who fulfills which role for which client and when the task is either created or the status changes the automation will reassign to the correct person based on the recipes we've built.

Hey 👋 Alexandra Torres, thanks for sharing your detailed post with an example. I can see how this approach could be beneficial and simplify things. Tiffany, thank you as well for your feedback and for explaining how you’re using automations to achieve your desired results. We have shared this post with the Product Team 👍
