Table View Does Not Save Filters

In the previous table and list view, we were able to filter our space by active requests. When we would leave the space and come back, it would still be filtered that way - which was great! But now, there is no way to save the filtered view by always showing active tasks only. I understand there is a preset but that takes extra steps. We just want active tasks to be the default view for that space without all the extra clicks.
