โProgress, not perfection.โ
This quote reminds me that consistency matters more than flawless execution. Small, steady steps are what truly move projectsโand peopleโforward.
There are always two that come to mind.
ย
"Do or Do Not, There Is No Try" - Yoda
You choose to either do what needs to be done, or you don't.ย If you say you're only going to try, that just means you are saying you're going to do it until it becomes too hard and then you'll give up.ย Either do it, or don't do it.ย Don't let yourself give up.
And of course, you can never go wrong withย
ย
"You Miss 100% of The Shots You Don't Take" - Wayne Gretzkey
If you're not bold enough to take the opportunity and chance on making it work, you'll never get there and win.ย Sometimes you need to take chances.ย You cannot always play it safe.ย Take the shot, take the chance, give it a try, get out there and get it done!

I've got a lot of favorite quotes, but one of them is "Failing to plan is planning to fail"
To help with procrastination, I use this: "The best time to do something is when you are thinking about it."
"Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and He will establish your plans."ย โ Proverbs 16:3
This verse beautifully aligns with the principles of project management, reminding us to entrust our goals and efforts to God, knowing He will guide and solidify our path. Itโs a perfect blend of faith and planning!
"The secret of getting ahead is getting started."
-Mark Twain
This is not really a quote but more of a mindset I like to adopt ahead of a challenging day.ย I just think well this day is going to end no matter what so I'll just do my best.ย I often share this with my kids also when they are nervous about their day.
โRemember when you wanted what you currently have.โ
It helps me zoom out, appreciate how far Iโve come, and remember that a lot of what feels routine now was once a goal.
A close second: โDonโt panic.โ Timeless advice.ย
"If you're going through hell, keep going" - Winston Churchill
I like this because it acknowledges how hard things can be while reminding me that forward motion is still within my control.
People won't remember what you did but they will remember how you made them feel. It inspires me to go into every day with a smile and kindnessย
Living the life, living the dream.
I have not failed. I've just found 10,000 ways that won't work - Thomas Edison. I believe that failing is truly our first attempt in learning. We are human, we are going to make mistakes
I actually have a couple:
"It's another day in which to excel!" (my wonderful co-worker, Kim, Communications Manager)
"Do what you can, with what you have, where you are." - Theodore Roosevelt
"Well done is better than well said." Benjamin Franklin
This reminds me that it's always one thing to say you'll do something versus actually doing it. Sometimes it speaks louder if you don't say you'll do something and just do it. This keeps me motivated to keep doing more than saying and making sure when I say something, I do it.ย
"And surely I am with you always, to the very end of the age."ย
Jesus, Mt 28,20
