Request form "Allow only dates to be selected" feature

There is an amazing feature in the date field of request forms that allows you to "allow only dates to be selected that are: "blank" days after the form is submitted or later.

I can't find any way to limit this to business days. I'm using this form for people to request creative deliverables from our creative team, and I need to delay the review date by 5 business days from the request date, since we don't work on weekends. However, this 5 days includes weekends, and if a task is requested and a weekend falls in that time span, it's counted, giving us 3 days.

I've gone and checked and I have our work schedule set globally to M-F. Is there somewhere else that I can completely exclude weekends globally so that this form feature will work?

Hi Chris Brightwell,
task created by form submission are already assigned to specific people?

Upvoting to follow.

Curious to know too if there is a way around not being able to specify business days - would be nice to see this as an option (might have been submitted in the Product Feedback section!).

Pietro Poli That doesn't help me. It's not about the people the task is assigned to.

I've set the precedent with my requesters that we need a minimum of 5 days from the request date to return the first review. The way my system is set up, the request comes to me as an approval, and if everything checks out, I approve it and change the assignee to be the designer I want working on the task. In my request form, I have the requesters filling out the start date (today's date) as well as the requested first review date. Blocking out the first 5 business days helps me achieve my goal because they can't just put in whatever date they want. However, if it falls over a weekend, I can't exclude them, so they're counted in that 5 day blockout, which doesn't help me.

I did come up with a "workaround." If they request a job on any day other than a Monday, it will automatically hit a weekend, so setting it to 7 days will give us 5 business days. If they request it on a Monday, it will push it to the following Monday, and I'll adjust on the back end if they call it out.

In this case I would just add 2 days onto the date and in the notes I would put that it is 5 Business days. This way they understand and the date shows correct.

Hi Chris Brightwell

I was thinking you could set an automation that checks if the due date is a working day when a task comes in then moves it back two days if not. BUT - I just checked in automations and it looks like while we can use formulas when setting the action for a Due Date we can't when setting a condition on a trigger.

Not sure why not but this seems like a feature update that would be useful to a lot of people.

I do agree though that just having a 'Working Days Only' checkbox on the Date picker fields on forms would be very beneficial. I believe I've seen that in the Feature Requests section.

Hi Chris Brightwell,
I've asked you if task was assigned because if a task is planned on a "no working day" for a certain assignee is automatically moved the first "working day" available.

You can achieve your need by using an external system (Wrike Integrate or similar) and move task after its creation but it's not free.
I agree with you and Anna Giacobbe that it would be useful to have here a flag that allow us to hide or not no working days.

Lisa Rohan V can you move it on Product Feedback?
