Hello everyone! 👋
Welcome to Wrike Agent News
This monthly digest will feature updates, learnings, and how-tos from the Wrike R&D team.
Thank you to all who have been using Wrike Agents in the Labs environment. Based on your feedback from beta testing, we've shipped six new capabilities that unlock end-to-end workflow automation. You can review Agent how-to guidelines here.
🎯 New Actions
Change Assignee
Agents can now assign tasks to team members. This means your Agent can analyze incoming requests and route them to the right person - no more manual assignment bottleneck.
Use case: Intake Agent reads request type → assigns to appropriate specialist based on skills and workload
Change Item Name
Agents can update task titles to standardize naming conventions automatically.
Use case: Add category prefixes like "[Video]" or "[URGENT]" based on request content or custom fields
⚡ New Trigger
Status Change
Agents can now watch for status transitions and respond immediately when tasks move to specific states.
Use case: Task moves to "Pending Approval" → agent posts reminder @mentioning approver with deadline context
🔗 Workflow Integration
Agents Trigger Automations
This is #1 requested feature: Agents now trigger your existing Wrike automation rules. When an agent updates a field, your downstream automations fire normally.
Why it matters: No more broken automation chains. Your classification agents can now hand off to your routing rules seamlessly.
🛠️ Management Improvements
Enable/Disable Agents
Toggle agents on/off without deleting their configuration. Now you can test safely, pause during critical periods, and re-enable them when ready.
Scheduler Timezone Support
Scheduled agents now respect your workspace timezone - daily/weekly agents run at 9am YOUR time, not UTC.

Agent of the Month: Smart Assignment Agent
In this section, we will dive into a specific use case.
Use case: Creative agency and professional services team discover a bottleneck in their process.
A creative agency and a professional services team have identified manual assignment as their biggest bottleneck: 1–2 managers are required to review and route 30–50+ requests daily, checking both skills and capacity. This process can take 10–20 hours per week per manager.
