Transitioning from List View to Table View

I received the email today that List View will be gradually phased out by the end of March. I knew this was coming for quite some time now (even before the Lightspeed rollout), however, I still feel under-prepared for the conversion and buy-in from across the entire marketing team I am on.

From an experience perspective, I have used the Table View that will take over quite a bit, especially when making changes to blueprints and mass updates to active tasks and projects when necessary, however I still find the format daunting when I just want to mentally process the quick information and enjoyed the "white space" List View offered. Most users on my team are not power users and primarily use Wrike to submit their projects and complete a task when it is their turn. They do not need to maintain much, if any, information/fields beyond that, which is why List View was preferred.

I specifically work in our Marketing Operations team and the few of us find plenty of uses for the Table View, and honestly, our PMs prefer it. We are just concerned about the transition for the other marketing teams.  All that being said, those of you who have transitioned or are in the process of transitioning, what are you doing and how are you setting up your views and preparing your teams for success?

Hi Kelsey Rudolph
I started already 6 months ago with our team to reduce the use of List views in favor of tables.
Often, when the PM needs the List view, I showed how a table can easily become a list.

I also got colleagues used to using dashboards more.
I hope it can help you.

Hi Kelsey,

are you aware of this post? Keep List View – Wrike Help Center

Anyway, if wrike is going to ignore those voices, we'll have to deal with it.

I had troubles with certain views that showed thousands of items, als table view slowed down the time to show up, compared to list view. I use additional date filters now to fix that, but it's just a workaround.

I guess in many cases the new table view is better than the old list view, and I tried to communicate this to my colleagues. If you set up a list view with a few important colums, it can be a really good sucessor. I suggest setting up such a reduced list view as a default for each Space and use the new copy function to ditribute it to all subfolders, to make it easier for normal users to change their default view.

And maybe support this request for more funcionality: Overwrite/replace custom view when copying a custom view of the same name – Wrike Help Center
