Wrike view on laptops

Hello,

Is it possible to get a more compact view when looking at a task on Wrike? Work laptops are not that big and using Wrike is terrible on them. The top part of the task and the comment box takes up the vast majority of the screen so to see subtasks, updates, comments or the description is impossible. You get out one line at a time and it is awful. Is there anything that can be done for smaller screens?

Help!

Hi Krysta,

since Wrike Lightspeed there are several possibilities to optimize screen space.

First of all I'd recommend hiding the left meny by clicking on this icon:

Then you could either hide custom fields with the "more / less" button or move them to the right instead of having this section below the top row to get more space for the description.

You could also consider setting up a table view with all information you'd like to see at a glance, almost every field can be displayed in a column without the need of opening a specific task view.

Maybe you could share a screenshot of your current view to point out your issues more exactly?

Have a great day!

Florian

Hi Krysta Fraser

I totally feel for you here! I struggled when I first started because all I was given was a laptop and the screen is quite small and I had to get my own second monitor just to be able to easily pull up things like Wrike to read through work better.

I totally agree with the suggestions that Florian Kislich mentioned above - I am often hiding my side menu and hiding custom fields has proven helpful.

In some cases too, you can set the view to Compact. I know it's possible on Table view for example:

Default:

Compact:

While this is in the general Table view of a space, folder, or project, if you have the possibility to enable the subitem redesign via Labs, you can also set your subitems to display as Compact within Item View. Here is how it compares:

Default List View:

Compact List View:

Hope this helps :)
