recalculate effort based on effort assigned on Subtasks

We use a setup where we have subtasks nested within main tasks. eg:

Main task: Bake a cake

Sub tasks: buy ingredients, find recipe, execute recipe

Initially we would like to allocate effort to the main task. eg. "Bake a cake: 6hr". (from feb 1 to feb 4) At a later stage we would like to divide the 6 hrs to the individual subtasks:  "buy ingredients Feb 1: 2hr", "find recipe Feb1: 1hr" and "execute recipe Feb4: 3hr".

it would be convenient if when we assign 2 hrs to "buy ingredients", it would subtract that effort from the main task "Bake a cake". To make sub-dividing the effort easier. Can this be configured via automation, calculation fields or other functionality?

HI Simone Darphorn,
standard automation cannot do what you want to achieve because effort cannot be managed via automation.
If you want to automate this kind of calculation you need to use a recipe in Wrike Integrate, it's very simple to implement.

What's you main goal to have effort before in parent task and then divided in subtask.
