"Conflicts Monitor" Widget for New Dashboards

Michael here, PM for Analytics. I know this has dragged on for ages and I am sorry about that. But we could not prioritize it sooner. Now we are going to make a decision if we rebuild the widget into New Dashboards or rather add the Gantt chart widget. 

Can you help me understand what would work better for you? Personally, I struggle to understand how the current Conflict Monitor can be used when there is no folder filtering. However, I am not sure either if rebuilding is the best thing to do. Is not the Gantt a better, stronger alternative? 

Also please consider we are now rebuilding our Gantt to make it eveb better:

Hi Michael, Thank you for checking back in! The conflict monitor widget has been very helpful to me. I actually still use an old dashboard just for that widget. I don't usually have too many conflicts pop up - and when they do I resolve them quickly. I'm also currently the main person at our smallish (50-100 team members) company who sets up our projects / tasks / acts as Wrike admin. Since I'm the main one managing Wrike tasks from a big picture standpoint, the no filter thing doesn't affect me since I want to see everything.

My usual process is to see the issue on the conflict widget, then open the project it's affecting in another window to locate the red conflict line on the gantt chart and fix it. Trying to open a gantt view of all the tasks in all the projects to scan through for red lines wouldn't work well since it would involve SO many tasks. And scanning through each individual project to check for issues isn't very efficient. I usually notice them when I'm prepping them to go live but there are some I occasionally miss.

I've looked over the post about the new gantt chart and I'm unsure which updates will help with this sort of thing (and maybe I missed it from rushing.) Is there going to be a filter to show all conflicts? That could maybe work. I'll just have to set up a reminder to check this view for that occasionally. (I currently use my Dashboard as my to-do list / prompt of what items to take care of.)

Hello Karina, unfortunately, I cannot justify the investment now because this proved to be a niche use case. However, I asked the Gantt team to improve the Gantt chart to make what you are doing possible. We will now decommission Classical Dashboards at the end of the month. Let's stay in touch in case you do not find a workaround because the Gantt solution will not come immediately.

I understand this is not what you were hoping to hear but I am sure one way or another we will find a way.
