Allow us to export documents with comments in original uploaded format
Hi team,
Came across a frustration today.
We are trying to encourage users to leverage the amazing document editor feature to leave comments/feedback on things they'd like to change. We deal with a lot of graphic uploads as well as text Word documents.
When downloading the asset that was uploaded to a task/project, it will download in the original format that it was uploaded in.
However, when you try to use the "Export with comments" button, it will always upload as a PDF. Because of this and the fact that we cannot just edit the text in the PDF, users are discouraged from using the document editor feedback feature at all; instead, they are asking folks to download the document, leave comments in the Word version, and re-upload to Wrike. This defeats the whole purpose of this feature and takes up more time.
It would be great if documents will export with comments in the original format they were uploaded in (i.e. in a Word document and not default to PDF, unless it was originally uploaded as a PDF for feedback). Especially since Word has its own comment feature, it would be nice if things translated accordingly so that the team can actively work in one version of the document instead of having to upload several each time there is a change. We obviously want to track feedback and changes in one version.

yes we desparatly need that feature too, same used case as described above.

Our team would benefit tremendously from this also. We have contracted vendors that we collaborate with in Wrike and our team comments on their word documents in wrike via the proofing tool and it would be great for those contracted vendors to be able to then export a word doc rather than a PDF with the comments from our team that were left in Wrike. The current option for only a PDF export makes for extra work on our vendors or our team.
