[ From Wrike] Datahub is Live in Wrike Labs! ๐
Hi Community ๐
We have very exciting news for you!ย
Starting today, admins on Enterprise Pinnacle accounts can enable Datahub in Wrike Labs ๐
What is Datahub?ย
Datahub helps you connect your data stored outside of Wrike with Wrike projects and tasks. You can connect your data sources through API or manually, and what youโll get is custom fields that are dynamically updated when you make changes in your data stored in Datahub.ย
Hereโs What Datahub Helps You With:
- Portions of work happen outside of Wrike: you have to toggle between platforms to work with data. Cross functional reporting is difficult with siloed data. Datahub helps you connect your data with your work.
- Lack of a single view: no way to create relations between fields & itโs difficult to operate your data. Datahub brings them together into one view.
- Managing changes in bulk is challenging: it takes a lot of effort level to bulk provision changes which leads to delays & inefficiencies. Our new tool makes data and teams aligned.
Popular Use Cases
โ Actionable Data for all users : Datahub table enables all users within the account to work off real-time data. It makes it easier to collect, organize, analyze, and distribute your data throughout its touchpoints in Wrike.
๐ข Managing Client Service Delivery: Create tables housing all of the data you have for your clients, from brands, sub-products, to locations and everything you need to deliver client value.ย Leverage this data to power automations and report progress back to your clients with reporting and dashboards.
๐งโ๐ป Operations Management: Centralize product information from SKU names, numbers to code names. Align a single source of information and power your work in Wrike to track inventory and streamline operations.ย
How to Get Started
1) You can find Datahub by clicking on your Profile picture menu - it will be opened in a separate window. You can start creating your Datahub tables for different types of data, adding fields and records. You can also import existing csv files, or connect Datahub to an external data management system via the API.

2) To connect the data from Datahub with Wrike, you can create a new Link to Datahub field in Table view and it can then be viewed in Datahub. When creating the field, youโll be able to name it just like any regular field and choose the Datahub table with which you want to connect these fields. You can also add fields to mirror, bringing attributes from the Datahub directly to Wrike as separate custom fields. The mirror fields can be utilized across Wrike - in different views, filters, reports, dashboards, automation rules, or calculations.ย

Weโre Testing!
Our Datahub development team invites you to provide your feedback! We would like to elaborate on it on the go. Youโll be able to share your feedback with your Wrike Account team or here in the Community thread ๐
The team deploys enhancements and new features weekly, so you can expect changes in theย user experience & user interface, as well as additional features coming in frequently.
Whatโs Nextย
At the moment, weโre gathering your feedback and continue to add new features. Enterprise Pinnacle accounts can use Datahub for free by enabling it in Wrike Labs. In the future, once both our users and our development team are happy with the feature, it will become a paid add-on. More information on this to follow.
Weโre thrilled for you to start using Datahub and we canโt wait for your feedback and questions! Please let us know what you think in the comments below ๐

Hello Lisa , I would also like to get the API documentation, if possible. Thanks!
"Link to Datahub" isn't available when trying to add a field to a Custom Item Type.
Hi Lisa,
have you some additional documentation to share with me about configuring DataHub?
Tuomo Suominen Joรฃo Batista API documentation sent ๐
Pietro Poli At the moment we can share the API doc. We're also going to announce a call on Datahub next week where we'll share more info ๐

Lisa I would love the API documentation as well. I am curious to learn more about it.ย
Are there any videos or samples of what people have done with DataHub so far?ย
I'm testing Data Hub to create a Stakeholder registry and SOW. Will there be an option to add people fields in the future? This means selecting Wrike User names!ย
I also see a checkbox field. However, this feature would be more useful for my team if we could tailor the checkbox like we do the multiple-select option.ย
Hey Lea Labastida, thanks a lot for your interest! ๐
I've now sent you the documentation! We'll be taking the questions on the call we'll be announcing next week (as well as feedback) ๐

Hi Lisa,
ย
Can you please send me the API documentation as well?
I am looking forward to creating a register for stakeholders and projects that can be linked to the Request Forms as a drop-down list.
Are there plans to integrate data hub with automations in such a way that if a task is completed, created, etc., it prompts you to create a new record in the data hub?
This would be super useful for connecting the task needed to create a new piece of media and the table that stores the completed media. For example, if I mark an EMAIL item type complete, it would prompt me to add a new record to the Triggers table in datahub.
Thanks for your feedback folks!

Anna Wallace Our team is researching this at the moment. I'd definitely encourage you to register for the session if you can for more details on plans ๐ (see my previous comment above)ย

Hi Lisa, could I also get the API documentation? Thank you!
This is awesome! Can we take an existing custom field (i.e., a field we are using for dropdown values) and connect it to a table in datahub? That would be great functionality if not currently available. Also any documentation on connecting to external data sources (oh please, please, please let us connect to SharePoint) would be super!
Hi Lisa - another request for the API doc. Thanks!
Looking forward to tomorrow session on Datahub tomorrow.ย
Hi Lisa, I'd like to receive the API documentation for the datahub as well please!
Lisa Please forward API doc to me as well :-)
Thank you.
Hi everyone, thanks a lot for your interest in Datahub! ๐ I've now sent you all our API documentation. We're also working on adding it to our Developers portal and expect it to be ready in the coming weeks. We'll keep you posted ๐
John Martin It's not possible at the moment but I've shared your feedback with our Datahub team! Thanks!ย

Hi Lisa, please can I get the API documentation?ย Thanks!
Hello Lisa! Would I be able to get the API documentation for Datahub? I couldn't find it in the Postman collection.
Thank you!
Done Phil Taylor, Nathan Rischling!
We'll have official documentation ready soon too.ย

Could you please send me the API documentation? Weโre interested in using the API, too. Thank you!
It would be great if there could be a way for the mirrored fields to be automatically populated based on the name of a (new) task. Currently you have to click on the custom field linked to Datahub and select an item, for every task. Also, it seems there's actually no way to use the custom field that's linked to Datahub in any automations.ย
Our use case:ย
When a new task is created in a certain folder and the name of the task is the same as the first column in our DataHub database, we want that task to automatically have the mirrored fields populated. For example, if a new task is created with an ID number "12345", and our database has an entry for ID "12345", then the mirrored fields for the new task will be automatically completed for that entry. This could be done via an automation that compares the task name with the first column in the database, sort of like a vlookup formula, where the corresponding/mirrored column values are returned.
Strongly second Karen Sudre's suggestion above.ย This would be game-changing for us.
Also strongly second Karen Sudre's suggestion above. This is exactly how we would like to use Datahub also.
Lisa could you please send the documentation my direction? thank you!

Hi Lisa
I have asked our account team as well - but maybe you have a quick answer; if we push an entry to a datahub custom field via API/integrate, will it append the datahub table or just be a dead entry as it is when doing the same for a drop-down?
Best regards, Morten
