iOS email link functionality to Wrike app
When I open Wrike emails in the iOS mail app and try to select the "Open update in Wrike" button at the bottom of the email, I am routed to a web page prompting me to download the Wrike mobile app even though I have already installed the app. The link redirects to the same web page every time. It would be helpful for the link to redirect to the app. Without that functionality, it is difficult to check email notifications and then access the information in the Wrike app.
Hi Melissa!
This is a functionality that is already present on the iOS app. I'd request you to check the Wrike app and please update it to the latest version. Can you also check if you are logged into the Wrike app? Usually a user is routed to the web page if there is no Wrike app found on the device. Hope updating to the latest works out for you!
If not, can you please help me with what version of the iPhone do you have? Also do you know which version of the Wrike app you have installed?

Hi Arpit Shekhar. I have an iPhone 14 with iOS 17.5.1 installed. The Wrike app version I have is 2024.2.2. I also checked to make sure I am logged into the app and I am. I tested it again this morning and I also checked to see if it made a difference if I access the email and link via the outlook app versus the iPhone mail app. Still no luck going from the email link to the app - I still get redirected to a web browser with a prompt to download the app.Let me know if there is something else I need to try. Thanks!
Hi Melissa! One workaround to this is to long press the "Open Update in Wrike" button. This will show you a context menu where you can choose the option "Open in Wrike". In the meantime, we have released a new version of the iOS app 2024.3.1. Request if you could update to that version. Curious to know if its the same for links of other apps? Have you tried to open any link of some other mobile app via mail (iPhone or Outlook) and do you see the same experience? I will take your concern to the relevant team to figure out how we can help you out further. In the meantime, hope the workaround mentioned can help you get into the Wrike app directly and not the browser.

I updated the app and tried the suggested workaround but had no luck. I am still not able to directly access the app from an email in my phone's mail app.
Hi Melissa. I'm adding a screenshot of the screen that you should be seeing after you long press on "Open in Wrike". If you click on the highlighted option it should ideally take you to the app instead of the mobile browser. Currently we are not seeing this happening to other mobile users. Is this happening to other colleagues in your org who use the Wrike mobile app (iOS)? Nonetheless, I have shared your concern to the team and will update this post as soon as we get some updates.

I do not see the same list of options when I long press. My options are "Open Link", "Copy Link" and "Share".
Hey Melissa, If you're not seeing the "Open in Wrike" option, then I believe this is a device or iOS mail app issue and not something on Wrike. There is an Apple iOS community post that talks about this issue, though its a bit dated. Hope following those steps (updating the mail app or restarting your device) can resolve your concern.
