Outlook Add-in: Avoid duplicate tasks when multiple users create task from email
I would like an option so that if multiple members on the team attempt to create a task from the same email using the Outlook add-in, they will receive a notification that the task already exists. This would be identical to the functionality of the add-in for a single user who attempts to create multiple tasks from the same email thread.
In our workflow for this process, the entire team receives an email notifying us that construction plans are ready for review. We then create a Wrike task for that review. A single person has the role of assigning out the review tasks once they are created.
Ideally, we would like any of the team members to be able to create the Wrike task from the group email. This would help us avoid any of the email slipping through the cracks, and it would help get the tasks created in a timely fashion so that they can be assigned out and reviewed immediately.
The problem is that users do not receive a notification in the Outlook add-in that a task has already been created from the email thread if it has been created by another user. To avoid duplicates, a person who intends to create the task would first need to enter Wrike and check the list to make sure it isn't already there. This list gets fairly long, so this is a time-consuming extra step.
Thanks for your consideration.
