Reschedule exisiting project by task/milestone
Hello!
I unfortunately have had a streak of projects where the project launch date has had to shift. In having to reschedule this, I have been trying to accomplish this within the gantt view as everything has dependencies. While having the dependency lines helps keep things in line, it's still a lot of manual shifting when these projects have a good number of subtasks. (Despite using apply shift to all subtasks it's still a pain as it doesn't always work as expected.)
It would be nice to have a feature to reschedule a project by task/milestone as can be done when creating a project from a blueprint. If that action isn't possible, another alternative would be the ability to group and lock certain tasks together so that you could shift them on the chart as one group.
Hey Crysta Cadella, thanks for reaching out!

Hello Lisa,
Thank you for responding - I have gone ahead and upvoted the thread you linked. I did see this one earlier, but I had assumed that was rescheduling by milestone from a blueprint - which is an existing feature now. Does the work suggested by the linked thread also allow for rescheduling tasks in an existing project?
Hi Crysta Cadella, you're right in understanding that the option is available when creating a project from a blueprint, however, this woulnd't apply for existing projects. Another alternative would be to duplicate the project and reschedule the items around a specific task, which could be a milestone.
