Request: Show only tasks with effort assigned to a day
I would like to see a list of all tasks with effort assigned to today. This will make it easy to quickly see and organize the tasks I really want to accomplish today. It will also help me determine at a glance how much capacity I have to take on additional tasks.
I'm currently using the Workload tool, and that works fairly well. However, it is overloaded with tasks that have durations that start before and end after today --- but that I've elected not to assign any effort to today (see image below - I've highlighted that effort on tasks assigned to today).
Other possibilities for this implementation:
- Ability to easily assign effort to tasks that are active today but don't currently have effort. This could be in a separate list of "suggestions" and would consist of all those tasks in the image above that are not highlighted. Perhaps the task can be drag/dropped from the "suggestions" list to the "active effort" list. Perhaps this could be a separate widget.
- The main widget, showing active effort for today, could be customized to show one or multiple days. That way I can easily reassign effort between tasks during a week when I'm planning out deliverable and activities.

@... Thanks! I think this could be very similar to the "My Active Tasks" widget - but instead of showing the tasks due each day, it would show the tasks with assigned effort for that day.
I echo this, our teams do need a view similar to workload with just today's view so that we can see all the full title of the task. at the moment it is quite overwhelming and only is usable to see effort workload and not the task to do view from this view
