Convert data format (days to simple integer)

Dear all,

I have a calculation of days on mission in a dashboard (start date - end date = number of days on mission) based on a formula. The result however is displayed in days (i.e. 3d). I need to then multiply the number of days by the per diem daily rate (say 250 EUR). The problem is that Wrike converts 3 days into 24 because it automatically multilplies by 8 hours in a day. I have tried experimenting with the settings so that 1d = 1 hour to see if that fixed the problem to no avail.

To me the simplest solution would be a data format conversion setting in the custom fields (i.e. days to integer). However, it doesn't seem to be possible. Does anyone have a solution?

best,

Kristin

Hi Kristin Kirouac,
with Formula Custom Fields you can specify the format

Hi Pietro, many thanks for replying. While it is possible technically to convert days to integer, the result is incorrect due to how Wrike has formatted the days. 1d converts to 8, rather than 1 (see below).

This causes problems when I need to then multiply the number by the daily rate.

HI Kristin Kirouac
I'm pretty sure that because 1 day is equal to 8h, so you can divide by 8 to get 1.

[Duration]/8

Thanks, Pietro. I have tried this as well but Wrike doesn't accept the formula after saving. It's perhaps an issue of syntax but I haven't been able to find the workaround yet.

Does this formula work on your end?

Thank you for confirming, Pietro. That is indeed good to know. It means I have a technical issue on my side. Would you mind confirming which subscription you have?
