Hi Stefano Coccato,
for now you cannot mantain dependencies without dates.
What you need to achieve?
Hi Pietro, we would like to avoid losing dependencies in case somebody deletes the duration and dates.
Please consider, for example, a big project, with a lot of dependencies and automation connected with the dependencies. If, by mistake, somebody deletes the duration of tasks, you will lose the dependencies and also the automation.
Even, because you don't have a versioning or a "Save as" of the project.
Thanks
Hi Stefano Coccato,
I understand. Has a similar situation ever happened to you?
The only control you have to prevent people from changing dates or duration is to limit the rights within Wrike, but that's probably not what you want to achieve.
You could create an automation that alerts you when a duration changes, to keep tabs on what's happening.
Decoupling dependencies from dates/durations would increase the integrity of project management. I'm currently onboarding dozens of people and it's not intuitive to think removing a date would also remove the dependency. This is causing a lot of frustration for people, creating double work and decreasing overall satisfaction.
