Support internal Wrike request forms in integration with Teams
Several of our work teams who use Wrike also host teams or channels in Microsoft Teams.
Teams channels that are private (invitation only) use internal Wrike request forms (must have a license).
- Since internal form users need to sign into Wrike via SSO on the tab, and Teams authenticates SSO through a browser window launched from Website tabs, these don’t play with Website tabs.
- Our workaround is to create a SharePoint page with a button to launch the Wrike request form in a default browser window where the user is probably already signed into Wrike and Microsoft.
- A built-in Wrike tab option for request forms (alongside spaces, projects, and folders) could leverage persistent authentication as do current Wrike tabs and the Wrike chat in Teams.
Teams channels that are ”public” (any staff can join) may have external Wrike request forms.
- Since external request forms don’t require user authentication to Wrike, they work as Website tabs.
- If request forms were added to the Wrike-Teams integration, channel owners would be able to place external or internal request forms as Teams tabs without having to which one is. Currently we have to handle external and internal request forms differently as tabs.
Thank you for the detailed feedback John Egleston, I'm now sending it on to the Integrations team 🙌
