Automating Followers

Hello Wrike Team,

Would it be possible to set up automation to have all Assignees & Approvers on a task, automatically made as a "Follower", that way when we need to mention them, we can group them as @Followers, vs having to manually add them as followers or manually @ each user that we need feedback from when needed?

Hi Christina,

please support this feature request by upvoting: [Status: Backburner ⏳] Advanced auto-follow settings – Wrike Help Center

Btw. an assignee will automatically be added as follower actually.

Thank you Florian!  I just completed upvoting! And good to know! It's been a little unclear - We had a colleague pull up a project that was recently created yesterday & assigned some approvers - After checking the "Followers", we saw that the assignee/approvers were all following the project without her manually having to add them. So not sure what is right! 😅

Hi Christina Munoz, as Florian Kislich rightly pointed out, when users are assigned to the task, they will be added as followers automatically. Would this clarify your case?

Thank you both! Would this also apply to projects created by request forms? Just trying to figure out some inconsistencies that I've come across!

Hey Christina Munoz! This works with tasks created by request forms, but not projects currently.

Does the automatic notification to followers occur on the task with the rule or can you notify all task or project followers with automation on 1 task?

Example, when task 1 is completed, automatically notify all project task followers or assignees the task has been completed.

I know you can setup predecessors using the Gant Chart but I don't want to be required to set each project up that way simply to notify the next task assignee they can begin.  We handle predecessors by scheduling start and due dates to follow each other.  The Gant Chart requires me to then link them all simply to have the ability to notify the next assignee that they can start their task.
