Posting Custom Item Types to Specific folder
Hello,
I am struggling to post a custom item type to a specific folder. My python formatting looks like this:
it isn't posting to the space or the specified folder, am I missing an input?

Daniel Elliott It should be parentId not parentID. not sure it would help but try it. if no good, raise a ticket.

Thanks Miron Mizrahi. I actually figured out it was caused by trying to post to a parentId of a project. I switched it to a folder and it worked.
My next hang up is not being able to pass customFields to a custom item type. see below.
Daniel Elliott take a look at https://developers.wrike.com/api/v4/custom-item-types/#create-work-from-custom-item-type. you cannot update CFs when creating work item. you need to first create the item, which will return the item ID and then you use the relevant endpoint (task or project) to update the item. In the future I recommend you always refer to the developer site to see what the syntax is. I have been doing this for a while and I still always double check.
