Customizing "Location" Field in Dashboard Widget
I'm creating a Dashboard widget and I would like the "Location" field to display the highest-level location (i.e., project) and not the lowest (e.g., sub-folder within a sub-project). Is there a way to do this?
No, is not possible at the moment
Hi Courtney Koletar, welcome to the Community! In the Location column, you will see all the parent items your task has been tagged with. I'm afraid it's not possible to hide tags in this column.
Please, let us know if you have any additional questions.
Thank you for your help Pietro Poli!
Hi there, Is there a way to select the specific locations the dashboards pull from? I'm trying to pull a report reporting on tasks - but i don't want data from all the locations within the same data source
Hi Shelby Reisner, welcome to the Community! Yes, you can specify the data source of your Dashboards, plesae see my screenshot below:
Is this what you were looking for?
I would like to confirm Courtney Koletar ' s suggestion. It would be great if I could choose a specific location in the path hierarchy of an object to be shown in the dashboard column, f.ex. space or other parent folder other than the next parent folder.
Use Case
I show tasks from different projects in a widget. The tasks are in different sub-elements of my project. I want to see which project the tasks are located in and not the sub-elements.
Hi Simon Bieling, thanks for supporting the suggestion and taking the time to explain your use case, I'm forwarding your comment to the relevant Product Team now 👍
