Budget Field in Reporting
Q: Why can't I pull the standard Budget field into a report? I can pull in Actual Fees and Actual Cost, but can't seem to add Budget. Confirming I have Manager access for Financials and Time Tracking.
On the Project level, I'm hoping to calculate each individual projects ongoing Profit erosion by using the formula [Budget]-[Actual Cost].
What am I missing? Is there a better way?
Should have also noted, I'm attempting to build this in an Analytics Board.
David Simmington Did you look at the values in [Planned Budget] or [Remaining Budget] ?
Ped Watt, thank you for the quick response, but I think I've found it and answered my own question!
In my Analytics Board, originally I pulled in "Project Budget" as it's called when you search, [Total Project Budget] as it's shown in the formula. This field was giving me a blank value despite my Budget field containing data in the Table view.
Closing Wrike and giving the system time to refresh, the field is now properly displaying my Budget value.
I'm now successfully calculating project profit in my Analytics Board.
It is worth noting that Analyze updates it's data set every 24 hours at 8pm local time at minimum, we see ours refresh about every 6 hours, you can force a refresh by hitting the refresh button at the top right, next to where it says "Last Refreshed X", this is close to the edit button you use to edit your widgets
I figured that was the case, but manual refresh wasn't fixing it earlier. Thank you, anyway! All is good now.
