Search in page incomplete

If you use ctrl+f in the wrike desktop app, you can 'Search in page...'

This is useful, but we just found out (in new table view) that search results are incomplete. Is this because maybe not the entire table is loaded yet?

It is very inconvenenient that we cannot trust this search function.

I think that the ctrl+f search function is different from the search bar function. The search bar is performing a comprehensive search of all items that match the search everywhere in your Wrike instance (that you have access to), while the ctrl+f is just searching the text that is visible on that page view. Are you experiencing something different from that?

Sarah Dungey I understand it is different. We want to know if we can advise this to users for easier searching within the folder that is opened in the current tab of the desktop app. But it is not clear to me what is 'visible' for this function within this folder. You can scroll down to the bottom of the table (everything is visible), but when you scroll up again and search for an existing item lower in the list, it is not found. This is different than normal behaviour for such a search function in a browser, I think. If I understand what's happening exactly, I will be able to give better advice.

Hi Karen Reijneveld, I won't be able to advise in this case, but I'm happy to raise a ticket for you - our agents may be able to clarify the logic. Let me know if you'd like that!

Hi Kristy Schaan, it looks like in the Table view, all the data is loaded in components. When scrolling, only the information that you see appearing on your screen is loaded in the system. This is done to optimize the performance and avoid slowness when loading large folder trees. That's why the browser search should work only in case when you have the searched item in the visible area of the Table view. I hope this helps.

Hi Lisa,

Thanks for the reply!  I have read a few strings on this and did figure out how to make the search work better for me!  Ctrl + f is a nice universal approach with less reviewing and clicking that everyone understands and I think I put an upvote on a different string, although I realize it may not be a functional fix for Wrike.

I'm having the same issue and already submitted feedback. Is there a workaround to make Ctrl + F work again?
I use it in a Wrike report to search from a list of tasks/items and see the fields I chose on that report easily. But since Ctrl + F function is not working properly anymore, I have to search for that task/item individually just to check a certain Wrike field under that task/item.
