getting dependency arrows in timeline view to work

I  can't seem to get the dependency arrows to work. Any hints?

Hi Krista! To add a dependency on the Timeline, hover your cursor over the left or right side of a task bar, and then click and drag the outer arrow to another task. Here's what the process looks like:

Thanks. Discovered that I had the status as deferred so the arrows wouldn't work.

Thank you for the update and for pointing this out, Krista! In case anyone else is interested: it is not possible to add any type of dependency to cancelled and deferred tasks. However, if a dependency was set up before the task received one of these statuses, the dependencies will stay in place.
