Assignees of a task can be complementary or backup of each other
Dear Wrike Team,
Team working mainly means aiming the same goal with complementary skills. In other words, assignees need to work together (neither one after the other nor separately at the same time). My issue is Wrike considers assignees of a task as backup of each other.
Consequences are :
- If one of the assignee is on holiday, the task is not rescheduled and cannot be completed by the remaining assignee (as he has not the skill). So I commit on a wrong project final date, since I am not noticed about the delay
- If one of the assignee is on holiday, the task load, even programmed per assignee using "Flexible", goes to the remaining assignee whereas he cannot complete the task alone.
@Wrike Team : Would it be possible to have an additional option when creating a task to precise if assignees are "complementary" or "backup"? Something as checkboxes with the two options.
In case of "complementary" both assignee need to be available.
In case of "backup" it would work as it is today.
Or any other advice that would not be "duplicate the task" which is time consuming even using "Template".
Thank you 🙂,
Best regards,
Martin.
Just use subtasks and define who's responsible for which part. Assigning more than one person to a task and not defining the responsibility is just messy. This is not a problem of Wrike at all.
