A generic handler linking the Parent Task or Project
It happens that tasks/subtsasks which are related to their parent, where some information/files are stored - Developers can say that when the project is running, you can manually get the permalink for the task/project and paste it into the subtask description or the comments, but when using templates, and a significant number of new projects every day, this task can be huge.
What if, in a similar way to the Browsers actions, there is a handler (choose @ or # or $ as you prefer) to set an automatic link to the $Parent or even $Child / $Siblings?
This handler would be applicable to task, project or folder, whatever you are working on and can be used both as a link (similar to name handlers/permalinks) or to automate:
- $Parent will lead you to the immediate asset over the one you are working on. (i.e. "All details available at the $Parent task" - replacing the handler for the asset name)
- $Child and $Siblings looks more complex as it might be more than one, but chances are to display a list of the assets to choose from.
