Showing sub-tasks on the cards in the board view

When using the board view in Wrike the sub-tasks don't always appear on the cards, it seems that when filters are selected they don't load, take the filters off and they do, put the filters back on and they sometimes still appear and sometimes don't.
Am I being an idiot, is it by design, or have I discovered a bug?
