Track Task Views
Is there a way to track the views of tasks? I would like to know if the assignees have looked at their tasks, or even better be able to set automation to remind assignees of their tasks if they haven't looked at them in a certain amount of time.
Hi Russell Sprague,
is not achievable now, but you can add a new custom status on Workflow to achieve you goal.
For example in Deferred Group: Task to Plan.
When a assignee get the task must put it on "New task", so you can check if assignee get the info, make some remind and get an insight on when they changed status (with Analyze)
I'd also suggest using worklflow statuses for this purpose. Using a "read" / "unread" function like with emails would easily lead to wrong information. Who can say if a user really took notice of a task, or just had it opened without reading?
Thanks for the feed back, I agree workflows would work for individual assignees, but the use case is for a task sent to multiple people rather than just one. So knowing how many in that group have viewed the task is the goal. I guess it would have been helpful to put that in the original post:p
Hi Russell Sprague,
maybe using approvals you can achieve the goal.
You can ask to colleagues to approve if they see the activity, then you can see on each task how many approvers are left.
I agree this would be a very useful feature. We have tasks in projects that we use for sharing information, for example meeting minutes, and it would be useful to know who is using these. This is possible in Confluence, there are analytics on every page.
