Projects-Only Table View?

It would be nice if it were possible to see a "projects only" version of Table view, displaying all projects within a given folder, but no tasks. I frequently finding myself needing to mass-edit fields on all projects within a folder with certain filters applied, and I don't want to accidentally edit any tasks. Currently my workaround is to filter tasks on "Tasks to do": "Custom time frame": 1/1/1900-1/1/1900. It would be great if this workaround wasn't necessary. Potentially this could be an option under "Subitems."

Hey Eric Prindle, thanks for reaching out! Could you please let me know if you tried using the "Collapse all" option in the New Table view?

If you have projects and tasks in your folder, that should allow you to only see the projects.

Lisa, I can see that view, but then if I drag and drop a value that exists on both tasks and projects (such as "Assignee"), will it not update the tasks because they are hidden at the moment?

Eric Prindle I just tried that, and it doesn't add an assignee to tasks if the view is collapsed to only show the projects.

Lisa, that's good to hear. Still, this approach doesn't work great for more complex folder structures. For instance, a folder may contain other folders, and those folders may contain a mix of folders, projects and tasks. "Collapse all" only shows me the top level, and then if I expand to the next level, that level may include tasks. I guess what I'm imagining here is a clean list of projects and only projects, comparable to what we get with tasks if we select "Single list of tasks."
