Colours to be added to reports

I have a whole heaps of custom fields (with colours) that have a status of either Green, Amber or Red, however when I add these to a report the colours do not show? This would be extremely useful as otherwise it just looks like a very boring table that is of little value

Would also be great to have the colour palette expanded as well - Without red as a colour to select for a status this also makes it fairly unusable in a calendar view for example

Hey Rhonwyn! Thank you for your feedback. Can you please elaborate a bit on your specific use case? What groupings does your report have? Do you have any totals/sub-totals you rely on in it?

I am using it to report on the health of a project.

So I have a report that has a series of custom fields called "Schedule Status", "Cost Status", Scope status", ect - These are either Red, Amber and Green and I want the report to reflect that colouring. Without the visual it is pretty ineffectual. In Wrike Analyze this also doesn't show - conditional formatting can only be added to value fields. example below is a snippet from the report

Hey Rhonwyn and thank you for clarification! Have you tried using a new table view for this?

Yes I have it in a table view, but that won't work when I am consolidating multiple projects in one view which is why I am using the report

Rhonwyn, have you seen/tried new dashboards from Labs? If not, please check if it works for you. You can create a table widget there that combines data from multiple sources, and that's how you can consolidate multiple projects and have colored custom fields at the same time.

I'm following up on this question as I have the same situation in that I need to produce a monthly report to show the status of projects and I need to be able to export this report to a PowerPoint slide for use in overall departmental reports.
We have custom fields for Red/Amber/Green statuses for Overall, Schedule, Risk, etc.  And custom text fields for Path To Green, and general Project Comments.
If I use a report it can produce the data in a basic black and white text format which can be exported to excel where I then have to manipulate it to the format required (e.g. change the word 'red' to a red dot).
If I use a dashboard it shows the colours of the RAG statuses but there's no option to export.

Do I need to be using an external reporting tool for this sort of thing?

Hi Mat Ward, welcome to the Community! 👋

As you know, Wrike reports export in a basic black-and-white format, which requires you to manipulate the data in Excel to add visual elements like colored dots for RAG statuses. Alternatively, have you tried the "Export to PDF" option for the new dashboards? This feature allows you to convert your dashboard view into a PDF format. I’ve added a screenshot below for your reference.

You might also consider using an external tool like Power BI. This tool integrates with Wrike, automatically converts text-based statuses into visual indicators, and offers export options directly to PowerPoint, streamlining your reporting process. Hope this helps! Please let us know if you have any other questions. Thanks!
