Search for Tasks by Custom Item Type
I'm not sure if I'm missing something, but is there anyway to search for all tasks of a specific custom item type through the API? Specifically, I'm looking for a way to query all tasks in a folder/projects with a specific CustomItemTypeId.
The CustomItemTypeId is provided in the response if I query for all tasks in a folder or project, but it doesn't look like there's a way to filter for that in the request.

I am wondering the same thing. Could you perhaps get me in touch with the same person who answered this a few weeks ago?
Having a searchable community for FAQ is good, but it would be more helpful if the answers were actually posted. :)

Also, I'd like to mention that you can check our New to Community forum to discover all the resources you can find in our Community 🙂
I am also interested in this, please can the documentation be expanded to show how this can be done?
Hey Jacob Bodnar, Ylva Björk & Steve Hyde.
I’m Anmol — Senior Product Manager for Wrike Public APIs.
To fetch tasks by Custom Item Types (CITs) using
GET /tasks,GET /folders/{folderId}/tasks, orGET /spaces/{spaceId}/tasks, simply pass the relevant CIT IDs in thecustomItemTypesparameter. This should work, happy to help with any follow-up questions!

Thank you Anmol that helps a lot!
As a follow up. If I send a GET request to /folders/id/folders I receive a response something like the following:
{'kind': 'folders', 'data': {'project': {'ownerIds': [id1, id2]}}}Is it possible to get for example the users' first and last names without having to use the ids within 'ownerIds' and perform a second GET request to the users endpoint?
Hi Steve Hyde,
Currently, it's not possible to return users' names directly in folders API. To fetch user details, you’ll need to make a separate
GETrequest to the/contactsendpoint.That said, I’d love to hear more about your use case - understanding how access to this additional information would help with optimization will really help us shape future improvements. Thanks!

If I want to get a single Custom Item by the type Task. How do I do that request?
Hi Jens Lindström! Apologies for the late reply here.
Looks like you've already discussed this with our tech Support. Please feel free to share what worked for you here in this thread.
