Calendar View - set "Task duration to display" to Start Date

In Calendar view, we need to be able to set Calendar to display by Start Date and End Date, but WITHOUT seeing the long line of "Full Duration" - is this possible, or such an improvement planned?

Use Case:

Our warehouses need to see on their respective Calendars (big screen) the week's worth of Outbound Loading (start date) and Incoming Unloading (end date) Transports - but Transport itself is potentially anywhere from overnight (domestic) up to 6+ weeks long (sea freight).

If set to display by Full Duration the calendar becomes unusably cluttered with looong lines, and of course set by "End Date" will only be useful for Inbound Unloading.

Unsure how to resolve this for them and would like to know
a) is any improvement to display options in Calendar View planned? If yes, how soon? 🙏🙏🙏
b) any ideas for workarounds to this, or anyone else faced and solved this issue for their warehousing teams?

Right now only way I can think to get around this seems to be to have two milestone tasks for every transport (a loading and an unloading) which is far from ideal and would mean people need to manage adjusting dates of both tasks when things change (often) and creates way more possibility of errors...

Added context - Project Managers create Transport tasks in relevant project, this task informs relevant Warehouse Manager, who then coordinates necessary loading/unloading schedule based on PM's required "delivery to site" or "pickup from site" dates. PM sets required Delivery or Pickup date as End Date or Start Date respectively. So we cant just use display by "end date" alone, it needs to be start AND end dates.
