Add to a custom field drop down in a form

I have a form for users to enter some data.  One of the forms is for a "Customer" dropdown.  If the Customer isn't already in the list, I want the user to be able to type it in and add it IN THE FORM.  I don't want them to have to go to the custom field or table view or anything.  I thought they would just be able to type it in, but they can't.  I have "Allow users to input other data" checked.

Hello Kory Gollan, welcome to the Community 👋🏻

Thanks for posting, I do understand your use case here. Currently, it's not possible to use a dropdown question and add an option at the same time. The workaround to that could be to add "Other" as one of the options in the dropdown menu, then to add a following short-answer question "If other please state". Do you think this would help your team?

I'm also moving your post to the Product Feedback forum so other Community members can add their upvotes and opinions to your idea 🙋🏻‍♀️

Thank you.  Yes, the "Other" option is my current workaround.  I was just hoping that their was a more streamlined option.  Thank you!
