Add task ID to emails from Wrike
Hello,
I use the Wrike desktop App instead of going through a browser. When I receive emails in Outlook, the button "Open update in Wrike" automatically opens the browser instead of the desktop app.
I'd like to see a task ID to search and find that task within the desktop app.
Better yet, a button to go to the desktop app instead of the browser?
Hi Stacey Olsen, thank you for reaching out! 🙂 Could you please try to do this:
1) Go to Apps & Integrations:
2) Click on "Wrike for Windows & Mac":
3) Click "App settings" and check the box next to "Open Wrike links in the desktop app" and save changes:
This should help with opening links in the desktop app. Please let me know if it works!

Hi Lisa, it is already checked. I tried opening a task from my Outlook email reminder anyway and it still opens in my browser Chrome?
Got it, thank you for getting back to me Stacey Olsen! I'll ask my colleagues from the Support team to look into this for you 👍

Lisa I am still interested in having the task ID added to all emails. Is there a status update?
I believe the rest of the question was answered in a separate thread (folders/spaces open differently than projects/tasks).
Hi Stacey Olsen, your feedback has been passed on to the team, so they have visibility into it. I don't have an update from them yet, but I'll let you know when I do. Once your suggestion reaches 60 upvotes, we'll add a Product status here 👍
