Can I create subtasks automatically when a status is changed?

Relatively new user here..

I'm just wondering if there is a way to automate the creation of a subtask (from a blueprint) when the user changes the task to a particular status?

I have created a workflow that aims to step users through a process map where only certain status' are available to transition to depending on the one they're currently on.

I'd like particular subtasks to appear when the users reach different stages of this workflow - can I achieve this by automatically creating subtasks or is there another way to go about this?

Thanks!

Hi Dan Starkey! This isn't possible at the moment, so I can move your post to our Product Feedback forum and then send your feedback to Wrike's Product team 👍

Ok thanks Lisa, I have added automatic comments with instructions instead but the ability to add subtasks automatically would be much better!

Lisa Can you link the Product Feedback forum so I can also follow the progress of this feature request? This would be highly valued with our company as well.

Lisa - you can mark this as finished as with the newly released automation, this is now possible!

Dan Starkey - You'll have to create separate automation and separate blueprints for each step, but this can absolutely be done. Below is a screenshot of an example. When the status changes to step 6 of the 8D, create subtasks from a blueprint. Either use the blueprint to assign the task, or add another action to assign the task.

Mike Fank thank you for your comment! Dan Starkey, as Mike correctly points out, it is possible to create subitems via automation by changing the status of a task. You can find more about this option here.
