Restore Dashboards
It would be fantastic to have the option to restore a dashboard if it was accidentally deleted or something. I would think this would be a common feature to have, considering everything else can be restored if deleted or archived.

I would like to add that restoring a previous version or the ability to lock it would be good also.

I am adding to this thread as a request for consideration to at the very minimum have a revert or version history for the dashboards. Or when you create a widget it is also a mirrored task or "Team Widget" in the New Widget area (accessible in the New widget creation area) and to be moved from one dashboard to another.
Another user from a different team deleted all the widgets from my dashboard accidentally (our board was set to Full access) I worked on for months and thought it was hers. Lot of work to be done now.
Thank you
I accidentally deleted a new dashboard yesterday. I contacted Wrike Support, and they informed me that once it's deleted, it's permanently gone. Like many users, depending on the number of widgets set up, it can take considerable time to manually recover and rebuild. Wrike should implement a feature where a deleted dashboard is moved to a recycle bin, allowing for its restoration. Yesterday, I wasted two hours due to a two-second misclick.
Byron, I'm sorry to hear about your negative experience with the deleted dashboard you couldn't recover. We're working on a holistic solution for managing not just dashboards but other tools to be released later this year and we consider dashboard recovery as a part of this solution.
Thank you, @....
Will this recovery tool also allow for restoration of tasks and folders from backups? I ask because I am looking at building a restore feature for a client and am wondering if I should hold off until an official tool is launched. Any more information on the scope of this new feature would be greatly appreciated.
Thank you!

Rohan V No worries, and thank you.
I do know how to restore from the recycling bin, thanks.
My client would like to be able to restore from old backups (e.g. in case something was accidentally deleted). I've seen other issues where the Wrike team has said this is not a planned feature but Vladimir's comment seemed to hit at the possibility of restoring other kinds of things. I figured he wasn't talking about tasks but I just wanted to make sure that there are no plans to allow folder and task from backups before I went through the trouble of building that functionality for them.
Thank you!
Hi Chad Fennell, thanks for getting back to me and taking the time to explain. I really appreciate it! I understand it now. If there are any updates, I’ll make sure to notify you 🙂

Hi, Wrike Community! I, too, have just experienced the accidental deletion of a fairly substantial dashboard, which I'll now need to rebuild. Are there any updates on features to address this issue?
Because there's no changelog on dashboard changes or deletions, we are unable to troubleshoot. Any update on such a changelog, sending deleted widgets and dashboards to the recycling bin, or a capability to "lock" dashboards when team members have full access?
Thanks! V
p.s. This is my first contribution to the Wrike Community. Woo hoo!
Welcome to the Wrike Community, Veronica Rajadnya! 🎉
There are currently no updates on the restoration of deleted Dashboards or widgets, changelog or locking feature. I’ve forwarded this to the Product team and will keep you in the loop if anything changes. Thank you for sharing your feedback! 👍🏽

Same issue on my side.
I created a dashboard and used it for several days with my team. Unfortunately, I still had a browser tab open on the dashboard creation page (as if it had never been created or saved). Since the dashboard appeared correctly in my dashboard list, I clicked the cross in the top-right corner — and my dashboard disappeared without any warning popup.
Several hours of work have now been lost.
This behavior is not understandable for a SaaS application of this level. A dashboard is essentially a set of saved filters, and such data should never be lost, especially without confirmation or recovery options.
Sorry to hear that, Julien Dubois. I am sharing your feedback with our product team for consideration. Thank you!
