click and drag tasks, folders, projects, etc. using touch

I have long wished for the ability to "click" with a touch and drag items around in the list in the iOS app, but I recently purchased a new Windows 10 tablet as my primary computer and have discovered that the same limitation exists in the full desktop version regarding touch.  There is no combination of clicks, taps or keystrokes I can find that will uproot a subtask, task, project, folder, etc. from where it is located so it can be dragged elsewhere.  I see this as a significant interface limitation and suggest that finger tap and drag be implemented as a feature - at least in the desktop app but on the mobile app eventually as well.

Hi Grant, welcome to the forums! Shiv requested something similar, but I think your post adds a lot of insights. Could you add this as a comment to his post? Let me know and I can mark this one as a duplicate so that we keep everything in one place.
