Export Timeline into a Gantt chart in spreadsheet
Hi Wrike
I am working with a number of clients who don't necessarily want or need collaborator views of the internal Wrike timeline. However an option for exporting the timeline as a Gantt chart or waterfall plan view is paramount for me as a project manager. This gives my clients and my team transparency at a birds eye view. We need this to export into either Google Sheets or Microsoft Excel.
Please advise if this is a possibility of developing.
Cheers!
Hannah
Hi Hannah, we have a couple different options for this.
If you're looking for something different let me know!
When I export, none of the dates are plotted. This way, is pretty much useless :(
@Marina, I apologize I think I misunderstood. You would like the formatting to stay the same, but be visible in google sheets/Excel?
Hi Stephanie,
I really miss that Snapshot sharing feature of the Timeline. You said you were working on bringing it back, is that likely to happen anytime soon?

Hi Espen, the team is working on it, I just don't have an exact planned release date to share. It's on the short-term roadmap though and they're working on getting it back to you sooner rather than later.
Hi. It has been nearly a year since the last update. I really need to use timeline snapshot feature and would like to know the current status.
Thanks
@Ken Hi, thanks for bringing that up here 🙂 You can use the Gantt Chart Snapshot now. It also has a new Baseline function - please check out the Help Center for more details and let me know if you have any questions 🙌

I know this is an old thread -- but is it possible to export the Gantt Chart to an excel file? I mean the Gantt Chart view as is to excel. Not the snapshot.
Hey Amanda Camarata, and welcome to the Community!
While it is possible to export the tasks from the Gantt Chart to an Excel file, it is not possible to export the timeline directly into Excel as well. One possible workaround you could use would be to use the Print option in the Gantt Chart. This provides you with a PDF version of the Gantt Chart, along with the Timeline.
Hope this helps! If you need anything else, let me know.
