Timeline filtering

Since the new timeline (with task list on the left hand side next to the gantt chart) was introduced recently for me this view is a nightmare.

When setting filters (e.g. for a specific person) in the list view and switching to the timeline the filter is not kept. I have to reapply the filter in the timeline seperately. This was working before without any double work.

Also when the filtering is applied (again for a special person) to the timeline, the result includes all folders and projects in which this person was never involved. So it's a mess since you do not find the relevant informations and it's nearly impossible to keep the overview.

Furthermore the fact that the timeline tryes to include all projects, even the once not relevant for the current filter configuration, is slowing down loading and rendering. The system was never as slow as in the moment!!!

This all was working much better before!

I appreciate the idea of having the additional information next to the timeline. But the disadvantages we have in the moment are much more relevant compared to the improvements in my point of view.

For me the system is close to 'not usable' now!!!

Hi Alexander,

We are also not entirely happy with the new timeline. Specially as there are some ´display´issues, where tasks can be dragged by accident, even if you are not clicking on the task itself. My advice: turn on the OLD timeline from the wrike.com/labs This saved a few headaches already.
