Custom Fields

I had a couple questions about custom fields. 

1. Are you able to delete once that you have created? If not, what is the best way to remove it from view?

2. Is there a way to view all custom fields that have been created by all users? To reduce redundancy. 

3. I see you can filter a report using a custom field. Is there a way to get that field and its value to appear as a column on the report?

Hi Jackie, some interesting questions, let's go through them one by one.
 
1. Are you able to delete once that you have created? If not, what is the best way to remove it from view?
Yes, you can do this in Table View. Scroll to the Custom Field you'd like to delete, click the arrow on its title (top cell) and choose 'Delete Column'. More information available here on the Help Centre.
 
2. Is there a way to view all custom fields that have been created by all users? To reduce redundancy.
I assume this would be an for admin's visibility and overview. It's a good idea and Stuart suggested a Custom Field Manager in our Product Feedback section. If you could check this out and if it's what you're looking for please upvote the idea 👍
 
3. I see you can filter a report using a custom field. Is there a way to get that field and its value to appear as a column on the report? 
If you create a table Report, the Custom Field data will be shown there. I'd love to hear a use case or example fo the type of data you'd like to see so I can advise further.

Is there a way to include whether a custom field is compulsory or not within a task?  And giving it a default value?

If not, I think it would be a great feature to add that.

@Maretha Hello 👋There's no way to make Custom Fields required right now, but you can add a +1 to Charles's request for that functionality!
