Custom Fields If/Then
Request for if/then values within a custom field drop-down menu.
For example, if there were two custom fields: A and B.
If I choose x for A, then I only can choose y or z for B.
If I choose q for A, then I only can choose p or r for B.
I was looking for this feature as well. Thank you for beating me to it.
😁
Welcome both to the forums! 🙌 We have similar functionality on Requests, I can see how it would be useful for Custom Fields as well.
@Morgan Thanks for adding this! I went ahead and renamed the title of the post just to make it easier for others to find (and upvote!).
Yes it would be nice to have this. I created custom field to calculate the days late for a given task but that only help when the task is actually completed. It is difficult to measure how late a task is when it is not marked as completed yet.
If (status = 'Active') then (Today() - [Due Date]) else ([Completed Date] - [Due Date])
For now I will have to continue to export to excel and perform this calculation there.
Hi Justin Karchner, thanks for reaching out! 🙂
Have you tried using Calculated Custom Fields for this? They allow you to make calculations based on data from other Wrike fields. The calculated custom fields feature is represented by the “Formula” custom field. Please let me know if they can help!

Hi Lisa,
I do use the Calculated Custom Fields, but I cannot create the IF statement that I would need, unless I am not seeing how to do that.
How would I go about creating a formula to show the number of days late a task is, if it is still active, but then also have it show the number of days late the task was when it was completed?
Justin Karchner That's not possible currently, but you can set up separate calculated fields for those two actions you're describing - as I understand, you're doing that already.

Do we have an update on "IF Statement" can be incorporated into a Function-Type custom field?
Hi Joseph Ricciardi, thank you for your question. At the moment, we don't have updates to share on this suggestion. Please, rest assured that we will keep you informed in case any changes are implemented 👍
If you have any other questions, please let us know 🙂

How does this have only 23 Upvotes? This was literally something we asked about during the sales process. I wanted a tool that would allow us to use logic. And was disappointed to see that you can't do If/this and/or statements.
Adding this functionality would be a game changer.
Tiffany - totally agree
Looking for this feature as well
Hello. Is there an update on this functionality?
Hello, looking for an update as well.

+1
Use case: Show me elapsed time except when the project/task is completed. Example: If(status="Completed",[Completed Date] - [Start Date], today() - [Start Date])

This thread has been open since 2017. I assume there are no plans at all to introduce this type of logic? I would be grateful if you could confirm.
Wrike tables are essentially pretty looking excel tables that provide colour and a visual appeal. Whilst I acknowledge that Wrike is not a replacement for Excel, it would however be beneficial to have if then else logic within the existing custom fields, for example, if custom field 1 = A then custom field 2 = X or if custom field 1 = B then custom field 2 = Y. Thanks
