Allow the bulk selection and set up of Task Recurrences
It would be such an incredible time saver if you could bulk select and have the option to set up recurrences for multiple tasks at the same time. I'm on the new recurrence beta so they don't pre-create the tasks so this feels like a no-brainer for a next feature?
Hi Jonathan, I would love to hear the use case for this if you could give us some more details!
We work in a monthly cycle and have a large number of recurring tasks that remain consistent each month. These are multiplied by 50+ clients (projects) which makes clicking into each individual task and setting up a recurrence extremely time consuming.
There is already the ability to select multiple and change dates, assignees, status etc. Recurrence would be a great addition.
That's great Jonathan. I can see the benefits of this for certain workflows, just like the use case you've outlined. We'll make sure it's passed to the Product Team for review.
We really appreciate your beta feedback, it really adds value to the internal discussions at this stage of the feature release 👍
Hello,
I am in this same exact boat. I oversee the several monthly functions for the accounting department which need to recur. However, we have over 60+ active entities. I was able to upload them from an excel spreadsheet but was not able to make them recurrent and had to mark them recurrent individually.
To add insult to injury, the original tasks were overdue when I created the recurrence and the system forced the date to be a future date.I changed the date to reflect the true date of when the work was performed. Well here we are on March 1st and no tasks recur and my team's work is not reflective of tasks. And I am not entering them all again.
@Tattiana Hey, thanks for reaching out here and providing your use-case! Our Product team has visibility of this thread, as well as everything else in the Product Feedback. Please make sure to +1 the original suggestion by @Jonathan, votes help us assess popularity of the features discussed here 👍

so you mean 3 years later, still no solution to this issue? We are also in the same boat and will need a batch recurring option. Is there still not a feature like this? We moved to Wrike because of its great features but we didn't realize that this will be even an issue in the first place. 🙃
Hi Joanne Maiquez, welcome to the Community 👋
That's correct, it's not currently possible to mass set up or edit recurring tasks. I completely understand your point and I'm sorry to hear you're disappointed, but this suggestion doesn't seem to be very popular among the Community members at the moment. This feedback is still being reported to our Product team, and the team makes decisions on whether or not they are going to work on a feature depending on priorities, capacity, and the amount of interest from Wrike users. So if you could upvote (= like) the original post above, that would be great. More info on votes and statuses here 👍
Please let me know if you have any questions!

This would be a great feature. We work within the insurance industry and there's a lot of weekly, monthly, and all kinds of cadences. It's different for each state. We can try to get around this with automations, but it doesn't allow you to choose specific dates of the month or anything like in the recurrence feature.
It's also tough when you can only do a recurrence on a task as opposed to a project. And finally, when you do a recurrence, the tasks that are created don't come with the same custom fields entered on the original task.
Hoping to get upvotes and get a feature like this prioritized.
Welcome to the Wrike Community, and thanks, Black Badger, for your feedback on this suggestion. I will pass it on to our Product team. 😊👍🏽
